The weather forecast for Saturday is 90% chance of .54 inch of rain. So you ask, "Is Christmas in Middleburg happening as scheduled?" The answer is YES! The Hunt Revue is happening at 11:00am rain or shine. The 2:00pm Christmas Parade is happening rain or shine. Everything else scheduled in Middleburg from Breakfast With Santa to the Craft Fair and the Greens Show, the Spirits of Middleburg, and all shop and store activities, (you guessed it) rain or shine. There is no rain date, and we are not cancelling anything.

Friday, December 4th
Join us at the foot of our town Christmas Tree in the Pink Box Garden for a heartfelt evening program that includes the Invocation, singers, caroling, hot chocolate & cider courtesy of the Home Farm Store, and of course the illumination of the tree...drum roll, please! Joyful Holidays brought to you and to us all by the Middleburg Business and Professional Association! 

  • 2:00pm - 5:00pm: Middleburg Garden Club Christmas Greens Sale and Bazaar, Emmanuel Episcopal Parish house. Sale of Christmas greens and flower show.

  • 5:00pm: O Holy Night! (note new time) The Tree Lighting Ceremony and Carols, behind the Pink Box, 12 North Madison St., 5:00pm on Friday.

  • 6:30pm: Holiday Recital at Salamander Resort and Spa presented by A Place to Be

    There is no better place to see winter in Middleburg than from the Salamander tree tops! Tree Top Zip Tours will start every 30 minutes and last one hour, 9:30am-3:30pm| 10 spaces available per tour

  • 10:00am - 2:00pm: Middleburg Garden Club Christmas Greens Sale and Bazaar, Emmanuel Episcopal Parish house. Sale of Christmas greens and flower show.

  • 10:00am: Middleburg Methodist Church, hot chocolate in the front yard to warm up while waiting for the hunt to ride by.

  • 11:00am: Middleburg Hunt Review, mounted riders and hounds down the main Washington Street. 

  • 11:30am - 1:50pm: Hayrides! Beautiful draught horses teamed to take kids of all ages on hayrides around town. Departures from the Pink Box, 12 North Madison Street

  • 11:30am: Middleburg United Methodist Church, annual soup and ham biscuit lunch in the church during Christmas in Middleburg on Sat, Dec 7th from 11AM-2PM. Cost is $10 for adults and $6.00 for children under 12.

  • 12:00-12:45pm: A Christmas in Middleburg Concert at the Middleburg United Methodist Church. Choristers from The Middleburg Community Charter School, Violin Duet, The Intrepid Jazz Trio, The Powhatan Violin Ensemble

  • 2:00pm: Christmas Parade, down the main Washington Street
  • 3:00pm - 6:00pm: Spirits of Middleburg (Spirit of Hospitality), progressive wine, food, ciders, and distilled spirit tastings from one end of town to the other.

  • 3:30pm - 6:00pm: Greenhill Vineyards welcomes Restaurant Eve. Enjoy authentic Restaurant Eve appetizers from one of Washington DC's most celebrated chefs, Cathal Armstrong, who will be on-site to sign his debut cookbook, "My Irish Table."   • 7:00pm Hunt Country Christmas Ball Salamander Resort and Spa, tickets $150, benefitting Golden Dreams and Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Centers. Register online
